OUR SCHOOL IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: Sprachcaffe opened a Spanish school in Playa del Carmen in 2005 and because of the success we have opened in December 2008, a campus with classrooms, residence, restaurant, terrace and pool.
The campus is located in downtown Playa del Carmen, just four blocks from the beach. So upon completion of classes, students can go together to the beach to sunbathe or drink a Piña Colada while they review what was learned in class.
INSIDE THE SCHOOL: The school has six classrooms with air conditioning and a beautiful terrace on the roof of the building which has an incredible view of Playa del Carmen. The complex also has a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and small snacks.
LEARNING MATERIAL: Classes are conducted in small numbers of students to facilitate learning the language.
ACTIVITIES: In the afternoons and evenings students can choose from a wide selection of extracurricular activities such as:
Sports: beach volleyball, beach soccer, tennis, basketball and snorkeling
Courses: Mexican food, salsa or yoga
Sprachcaffe also organizes festivals and events: BBQ, tequila and mezcal, joint dinners, cocktail evenings, cinema, billiards, bowling and short trips.
SPANISH COURSES: In our school in Playa del Carmen we offer Spanish courses for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. On the first day, you will take a test and will be placed in the level most suitable for you. The courses are held from Monday to Friday: educational material on loan will be given during class. There are no classes during holidays.
OUR TEACHERS: Our teachers are all native speakers, highly qualified and have an academic education. After the lessons, they are available to give advice and assistance on any problems with the language and to awnser questions about local cultural and sporting events. They may spend their free time with our guests and, of course, for students taking a business language course, they will provide special materials for class.
TEACHING METHOD: Our teaching method is based on the "principle of conversation" because the study of language should be aimed mainly at putting into practice the grammatical and lexical aspects of the language:
LESSONS: The class is based essentially on the principle of conversation. This is achieved through intensive training in structured role-play, guided dialogs, audio-listening and reading cultural, social, and political essays and articles related to the host country.
CERTIFICATE: At the end of the course each student will receive a certificate attesting to the number of lessons taken and the language level achieved.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION: One-to-one language training is the quickest and most intensive way to learn a language or to improve your language skills. The format of the lessons is totally determined by the needs and desires of the student. The hours of this course are flexible which makes it possible to book such a course together with another course option.
This course is also ideal as a tutoring or support course to focus on problem areas. You decide the number of daily lessons: two, four or six. All aspects of the language are taught in as short a time possible without being overly demanding.

ACADEMIC LANGUAGE COURSE: The Academic Term / Exam Preparation Course at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS is structured similar to the Standard Language Course, however the goals and objectives are structured for long term study. Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a more in-depth and continuous study of the language and also for those interested in sitting for any of the major language exams, such as the PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, DELE, DELF, DALF, CILS and DSH. The examination fees are not included in the course price and students have to pay extra for materials.
Completing an Academic Term at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS will help earn important qualifications and is perfect for those seeking the challenges and goals of meeting university entrance requirements.

ACCOMMODATION IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
HOST FAMILY IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
In Sprachcaffe we offer accommodation with host families which have been carefully selected. This enables you to practice what you learn in class and learn firsthand about the culture and customs of the people of Playa del Carmen. We selected the families taking into account the following factors:

We also offer you the option of choosing a single room or shared with half board.
RESIDENCE IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
For more comfort we offer the possibility of staying in our residence. Our residence in Playa del Carmen is located in the same building as the school and offers a great opportunity to relax and enjoy your own privacy after school.
Studios in the residence have air conditioning, fan, safe, cable TV, wireless internet, bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge, oven, coffeemaker and microwave. There is a cleaning service every day. Rooms may be single or double and on request you can book half the room.

Our apartments are located in the same building as the school and have:
Students can then easily share everything they have studied in classes with their flatmates and assimilate into the language eaiser. For your convenience we offer you the ability to choose between individual or shared rooms. If you choose a shared room, you will live with a person of the same sex, age and of a different nationality.
