SCHOOL IN PARIS, FRANCE

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: Our facilities are located in the historical, cultural, artistic and economic center of Paris at the Cours Rougemont.

The nearest subway station is called Grand Boulevard, in the 9th arrondissement, within walking distance of the most famous museums, hotels, restaurants, boutiques and cafes in the capital of France.

LEARNING MATERIAL: Sprachcaffe opened in 1986 as a private institute accredited by the University of Paris and the Ministry of Labor and has always been recognized for its methodology, based on an active educational project and modern learning of the French language.

ACTIVITIES: Our school offers various activities for after school and enjoy the opportunities Paris has to offer. If you want, you can tour the region, visit the many museums in the city and discover its charms. Tourism will offer the full range of possibilities of the city of light.

FRENCH COURSES IN PARIS

In our school in Paris we offer French courses for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. On the first day, you will take a test and will be placed in the level most suitable for you.

The courses are held from Monday to Friday: educational material on loan will be given during class. There are no classes during holidays.

OUR TEACHERS: Our teachers are all native speakers, highly qualified and have an academic education. After the lessons, they are available to give advice and assistance on any problems with the language and to awnser questions about local cultural and sporting events. They may spend their free time with our guests and, of course, for students taking a business language course, they will provide special materials for class.

TEACHING METHOD: Our teaching method is based on the "principle of conversation" because the study of language should be aimed mainly at putting into practice the grammatical and lexical aspects of the language:

• Grammar- vocabulary - exercises – activities
• Reading - understanding texts - listening – writing
• Conversation

LESSONS: The class is based essentially on the principle of conversation. This is achieved through intensive training in structured role-play, guided dialogs, audio-listening and reading cultural, social, and political essays and articles related to the host country.

CERTIFICATE: At the end of the course each student will receive a certificate attesting to the number of lessons taken and the language level achieved.

STANDARD LANGUAGE COURSE: Whether you are a complete beginner or simply wish to brush up on your English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Chinese, a Standard Language Course at any of Sprachcaffe / Languages PLUS schools around the world is bound to meet your requirements.

This is the perfect compromise between learning the language and enjoying your free time. Four daily lessons guarantee effective learning, while the morning or afternoon remains free for extra-curricular activities.

INTENSIVE LANGUAGE COURSE: An Intensive Language Course at Sprachcaffe / Languages PLUS in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German or Chinese is the ideal choice for a more in-depth focus on the language. Whether you are a complete beginner or simply wish to brush up on your languages, this course is bound to meet your requirements.

In this case, more emphasis is placed on learning, thus leaving less free time for extracurricular activities. Six daily lessons guarantee effective progress in a much shorter time.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION: One-to-one language training is the quickest and most intensive way to learn a language or to improve your language skills. The format of the lessons is totally determined by the needs and desires of the student. The hours of this course are flexible which makes it possible to book such a course together with another course option.

This course is also ideal as a tutoring or support course to focus on problem areas. You decide the number of daily lessons: two, four or six. All aspects of the language are taught in as short a time possible without being overly demanding.

ACADEMIC LANGUAGE COURSE: The Academic Term / Exam Preparation Course at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS is structured similar to the Standard Language Course, however the goals and objectives are structured for long term study. Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a more in-depth and continuous study of the language and also for those interested in sitting for any of the major language exams, such as the PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, DELE, DELF, DALF, CILS and DSH. The examination fees are not included in the course price and students have to pay extra for materials.

Completing an Academic Term at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS will help earn important qualifications and is perfect for those seeking the challenges and goals of meeting university entrance requirements.

ACCOMMODATION IN PARIS

In Paris we offer three types of accommodation, you may choose the option that suits you best depending on your needs. In all the options you can relate to people, either with natives in the case of families, or with other students, so you can practice what has been studied in class.

HOST FAMILY IN PARIS

In Sprachcaffe we offer accommodation in host families which we have carefully selected. This enables you to practice what you have learned in class and learn first hand about the culture and customs of the people of Paris. We selected the families explicitly taking into account the following factors: 

• The distance the family is from the school
• The level of comfort that they can provide
• The amount of responsibility they are able to give
• We also offer the option of choosing a single or shared room which includes breakfast.

Apartment in Paris

Some of our apartments are located very close to the school, in the heart of the city. The apartments offer:

• Double and single rooms
• Shared kitchen and bathrooms
• The apartments are about 25-30 minutes from the school, using public transportation

Hotel in Paris

Our three star hotel is located very near the school. It has full bathroom inside the room. You can book a single room or a double room. Reservations for double rooms are only accepted for students traveling together.
