GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: The school Sprachcaffe Languages Plus is situated in a picturesque area of Florence, only 5 minutes away from the main train station in the city, Piazza della Stazione. LEARNING MATERIAL: Our teachers use different materials and educational resources in their classes, therefore, students are benefiting from a variety of exercises, approaches and texts. Also students who may wish to borrow books from the library to strengthen their study are welcome to do so.
EXTRACURICULAR ACTIVITIES: Our school offers various after school activities to enjoy the opportunities of Florence. You might want to tour the region, visit the many museums in the city and discover its charms. Tourism will offer the full range of possibilities that the city has to offer.
ITALIAN COURSES
In our school in Florence we offer Italian courses for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. On the first day, you will take a test and will be placed in the level most suitable for you. The courses are held from Monday to Friday: educational material on loan will be given during class. There are no classes during holidays.
OUR TEACHERS: Our teachers are all native speakers, highly qualified and have an academic education. After the lessons, they are available to give advice and assistance on any problems with the language and to awnser questions about local cultural and sporting events. They may spend their free time with our guests and, of course, for students taking a business language course, they will provide special materials for class.
TEACHING METHOD: Our teaching method is based on the "principle of conversation" because the study of language should be aimed mainly at putting into practice the grammatical and lexical aspects of the language:
LESSONS: The class is based essentially on the principle of conversation. This is achieved through intensive training in structured role-play, guided dialogs, audio-listening and reading cultural, social, and political essays and articles related to the host country.
CERTIFICATE: At the end of the course each student will receive a certificate attesting to the number of lessons taken and the language level achieved.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION: One-to-one language training is the quickest and most intensive way to learn a language or to improve your language skills. The format of the lessons is totally determined by the needs and desires of the student. The hours of this course are flexible which makes it possible to book such a course together with another course option.

ACADEMIC LANGUAGE COURSE: The Academic Term / Exam Preparation Course at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS is structured similar to the Standard Language Course, however the goals and objectives are structured for long term study. Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a more in-depth and continuous study of the language and also for those interested in sitting for any of the major language exams, such as the PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, DELE, DELF, DALF, CILS and DSH. The examination fees are not included in the course price and students have to pay extra for materials.
Completing an Academic Term at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS will help earn important qualifications and is perfect for those seeking the challenges and goals of meeting university entrance requirements.

In Florence we offer three types of accommodation, you may choose the option that suits you best depending on your needs. With each option you will be able to converse with people, either with natives in the case of families, or with other students, so you can practice what was learned in class.

In Sprachcaffe we offer accommodation in one of our carefully selected families. This enables you to practice what you have learned in class and learn first hand about the culture and customs of the people of the country.
