GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: We decided to open our newest school in the cultural epicenter of Barcelona. This buzzing and exciting city will offer an ideal setting for those interested in learning about a new and different culture while learning the language. Still, no matter how busy life gets, our school offers a perfectly balancing learning atmosphere with all the amenities your heart desires. It allows convenient access to all the important sites.

The Ramblas, Barcelona's most vibrant shopping boulevard , is easy to reach. But when it comes to tapas bars, galleries, stores, boutiques, music shops etc, there is no need to travel far, everything is "just around the corner".

ACTIVITIES: Our school offers various activities after school to enjoy the opportunities Barcelona has to offer.You may take trips into the region, visit the many museums like Museo Picasso, Miro Museum, or the Citadel, Montjuic ...

During weekends we organize excursions to places of interest near the city of Barcelona, such as Montserrat, Girona, Dali Museum in Figueres, Sitges, Cavas, and so on. We also offer weekend outings (2 or 3 days) to cities such as Madrid, Mallorca, Ibiza, Seville, and so on.

SPANISH COURSES IN BARCELONA

In our school in Barcelona we offer Spanish courses for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. On the first day, you will take a test and will be placed in the level most suitable for you. The courses are held from Monday to Friday: educational material on loan will be given during class. There are no classes during holidays.

OUR TEACHERS: Our teachers are all native speakers, highly qualified and have an academic education. After the lessons, they are available to give advice and assistance on any problems with the language and to awnser questions about local cultural and sporting events. They may spend their free time with our guests and, of course, for students taking a business language course, they will provide special materials for class.

TEACHING METHOD: Our teaching method is based on the "principle of conversation" because the study of language should be aimed mainly at putting into practice the grammatical and lexical aspects of the language:

• Grammar- vocabulary - exercises – activities
• Reading - understanding texts - listening – writing
• Conversation

LESSONS: The class is based essentially on the principle of conversation. This is achieved through intensive training in structured role-play, guided dialogs, audio-listening and reading cultural, social, and political essays and articles related to the host country.

CERTIFICATE: At the end of the course each student will receive a certificate attesting to the number of lessons taken and the language level achieved.

STANDARD LANGUAGE COURSE: Whether you are a complete beginner or simply wish to brush up on your English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Chinese, a Standard Language Course at any of Sprachcaffe / Languages PLUS schools around the world is bound to meet your requirements.

This is the perfect compromise between learning the language and enjoying your free time. Four daily lessons guarantee effective learning, while the morning or afternoon remains free for extra-curricular activities.

INTENSIVE LANGUAGE COURSE: An Intensive Language Course at Sprachcaffe / Languages PLUS in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German or Chinese is the ideal choice for a more in-depth focus on the language. Whether you are a complete beginner or simply wish to brush up on your languages, this course is bound to meet your requirements.

In this case, more emphasis is placed on learning, thus leaving less free time for extracurricular activities. Six daily lessons guarantee effective progress in a much shorter time.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION: One-to-one language training is the quickest and most intensive way to learn a language or to improve your language skills. The format of the lessons is totally determined by the needs and desires of the student. The hours of this course are flexible which makes it possible to book such a course together with another course option.

This course is also ideal as a tutoring or support course to focus on problem areas. You decide the number of daily lessons: two, four or six. All aspects of the language are taught in as short a time possible without being overly demanding.

ACADEMIC LANGUAGE COURSE: The Academic Term / Exam Preparation Course at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS is structured similar to the Standard Language Course, however the goals and objectives are structured for long term study. Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a more in-depth and continuous study of the language and also for those interested in sitting for any of the major language exams, such as the PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, DELE, DELF, DALF, CILS and DSH. The examination fees are not included in the course price and students have to pay extra for materials.

Completing an Academic Term at Sprachcaffe / Language PLUS will help earn important qualifications and is perfect for those seeking the challenges and goals of meeting university entrance requirements. Spending several months abroad is the ideal way to completely immerse yourself in another language. In Barcelona there are three types of accommodation, from which you will have the option to choose that which suits you best depending on your needs. Through each of the options you will be able to interact with people, either with natives in the case of families, or with other students, as to be able to practice what was studied in class. HOME STAY IN BARCELONA

In Sprachcaffe we offer accommodation with any of our carefully selected families. This enables you to practice what you learn in class and learn first hand about the culture and customs of the people of Barcelona.

We selected the families explicitly taking into account the following factors:

• The distance between home and host our school
• The comfort level of the house
• The availability of families to host students

APARTMENTS IN BARCELONA

We also offer you the option of choosing a single room or shared room with either breakfast or half board.

Our apartments include:

• Full bathroom
• Some of our apartments are located in the school building, in the heart of the city.

HOTEL IN BARCELONA

Our hotel is located very near the school. It has full bathroom inside the room. You can book a single room or double room. Reservations for double rooms are only accepted for students traveling together.
