GENERAL ENGLISH: General English is our standard course which gives you a good solid foundation in all aspects of the English language. The course provides the essential structures and vocabulary you need, using a course book and supplementary materials, while giving you plenty of practice in all four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. With regular Speaking and Listening practice and new language input, the course is designed to improve your level and to maximise your ability to use all the English you know. You will have two teachers, one of whom will be your class teacher who will look after your academic progress throughout your stay.
CLUB 50+: Our Club 50 course is as much about travel and discovering Brighton or Malta as it is about learning English. This exciting 2 week course is exclusively for people aged 50 and over who love to travel, meet like minded people and want to improve their English.
Explore Brighton and Malta: The full excursion programme will help you to discover these unique locations. Discover Malta’s incredible history and natural beauty or experience the delights of delights of Brighton; also known as ‘London-by-the-sea’.
Improve your English: You will have 20 lessons each week in a small group of maximum 6 students. The course is highly practical and focuses on speaking English confidently in the everyday situations which you would encounter whilst travelling. Our highly trained teachers create a comfortable atmosphere in which you will enjoy learning English.
Travel on your own, or with a friend or partner: You will meet lots of people on this course. You can travel on your own, with a friend or spouse.
Stay with a host family or in a hotel: Accommodation with one of our welcoming host families in a private bedroom with breakfast and evening meal is included in the programme. There is also an option to stay in a hotel or guesthouse.

Make the most of your time abroad with this fast track learning course. The Intensive English course is the same as our General English programme but with the advantage of two extra lessons in the afternoon (30 lessons per week). The more time you dedicate to learning English, the more you will improve and therefore achieve your desired exam score. We know that every student is different, which is why we combine a structured course with a personal study plan, individual tutorials and a personal reading programme to ensure you maximise your personal potential. To thoroughly prepare for the exam we recommend a 10-13 week study period.

The more time you invest in your studies the more fluent you will become. You can achieve fantastic results with 6 to 12 months of dedicated English language study, progressing at least two complete language levels. With dedication and commitment you can advance up to four levels.
Academic Year is specifically designed for students studying 6 months or more and is highly structured and comprehensive to enable you to devote yourself to your studies and to maximise your progress over an extended period of time. Choose to study 20 lessons or the intensive option of 30 lessons each week.

FREESTYLE (AGES 16 TO 20): Enjoy your summer vacation abroad! Travel with your friends or meet new, like-minded people from around the world – all of whom want to get together and have a good time.
This vacation course is about enjoying your holiday whilst improving your English. Travel to London in the UK or Malta in the heart of the Mediterranean. In addition to the ‘must sees and dos’ that are included in the package there are plenty of opportunities to discover your chosen destination, chill out and party.
Course duration is 2 or 3 weeks. Being in an English speaking country your English will constantly improve. Your English classes are certainly not boring either. Consisting of 20 lessons (3 hours each day) you will learn in a relaxed and friendly environment. Lessons are stimulating and enjoyable and your language skills are improved through discussing topics which are interesting and relevant to you.
Arrival is on a Sunday and departure is on a Saturday.

A Mini Group course is ideal for highly motivated people who have only a short period of time to study. We will improve your Speaking and listening skills and correct, secure and develop what you have already learnt.
The small class size of a maximum of 6 students ensures a greater level of individual attention and a faster rate of progress in the time you have available. At the end of the course you will be much more confident in your ability and will have achieved a greater level of fluency and accuracy.
This course is more flexible and personal, allowing your teacher to monitor your progress more closely and tailor the course to your development needs. You can choose to take 20 or 30 lessons per week.

One-to-One tuition is the ultimate course for making maximum progress during a short period of time.
This is a highly intensive course which is 100% focused on your English language requirements and designed by your teachers to match your specific needs. This is the most flexible and personal course available. You can choose to study 20, 30 or 40 lessons per week.
You can combine One-to-One tuition with a group course. This gives you the advantage of the interaction of a group in the morning and individually tailored tuition in the afternoon. You can choose to take 10 or 20 lessons after your group course. This is a great way of accelerating your progress. This option is available at all EC schools.

Business English Mini Group course is designed to help you make maximum progress in a limited period. Study together with people from around the world in a small class of 6 people.
The aim of this course is to focus on the language needed to conduct core professional skills such as communicating on the telephone confidently, participating effectively in meetings, making clear presentations, conducting negotiations and discussions, writing professional reports, emails and letters.
Together with your teacher you will discuss your English language learning priorities and the core professional skills you wish to focus on. Meeting people from a variety of professional backgrounds adds to the unique experience of this course.
Supplement with Personal Tuition and benefit from both group and private tuition by combining the Business English Mini Group with 10 or 20 Business English One-to-One lessons.

Maximise your time with a course specifically created for you. After discussing your language requirements with your teacher we will design a course unique to your requirements. This will include practising English language skills in the work context which are specific to your needs.
You could choose to focus on a number of core professional skills or focus on a particular project. We encourage you to bring materials from your workplace in order to perfect your documents and presentations while you are with us.
Whatever your needs, this is the ideal course for making rapid progress in a limited period of time. You can choose to study 20, 30, 40 or 50 lessons per week.
Specialist Business English One-to-One
EC can provide Specialised One-to-One Lessons specific to your profession, for example: English for Marketing, Accountancy, Human Resources, Advertising, Finance, Banking, Tourism and Law.
FULL IMMERSION: 40 Lessons per week + 15 hours accompanied by a teacher: 1 lesson = 45 mins / 10 lessons = 7.5 hrs /20 lessons = 15 hrs / 30 lessons = 22.5hrs / 40 lessons = 30 hrs
Full Immersion is our most intensive course designed for a one or two week duration. You will combine 40 One-to-One lessons in class with 15 hours out of class in the company of a teacher.
By means of an interview on the first day, the course is designed specifically for you. The out of classroom activities are included and are arranged to suit your interests. For example, if you are interested in finance you may wish to visit Lloyds of London when studying at EC London.
Each day you have lunch with a teacher. You will also have 2 accompanied activities and an excursion each week to maximise your exposure to English and provide ‘real life’ opportunities in which to practise and improve your English skills out of the classroom.
Throughout your course your progress will be monitored and recorded. At the end of your course you will receive a linguistic profile detailing your strengths, weaknesses, what you have covered, how you have developed, what you now need to do to consolidate your learning and how to improve further after you have returned home.

Whether you’re looking for an independent residence, such as a hotel or apartment, or have decided to share with other students or experience daily life with an English speaking host-family, you can be sure that EC will help you find a place you can call a home away from home. MALTA HOMESTAY: Staying with a family is the best way to find out about family life in Malta. We offer both Standard and Superior Homestay options. Our host families are located between a 10 minute walk and a 30 minute bus ride away from EC Malta.
MALTA ECONOMY RESIDENCE: Living with other students in a Residence is an excellent way to get to know people of different nationalities and learn about different cultures. EC has its own Economy Residence located just 20 minutes walk away from the school. Residences are especially recommended for those students aged 18-25 who want independence and flexibility, and enjoy a sociable living environment.
MALTA SHARED APARTMENTS: Ideal for independent living, Shared Apartments is a self-catering option where facilities are shared with fewer students. Apartments vary in location and size but all are within a 3 to 20 minute journey from the school and are within walking distance of supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants.
MALTA DRAYTON: You cannot live closer to school than this! Drayton Apartments are 10 metres from EC and 2 minutes from bars and restaurants. Each of the 8 apartments consists of 1 or 2 bedrooms, a shared kitchen, living and lounge area and either a balcony or terrace. Each room has a safe deposit box. Your choice: single room or shared room.
MALTA BLUE MARINE: The Blue Marine Apartments enjoy a fantastic location near the sea front and have great views of St. George’s Bay. The apartments are less than 5 minutes’ walk from EC Malta and the area’s main bus terminus. Within 2 minutes’ walk are St. George’s sandy beach, Bay Street shopping complex and Malta’s entertainment capital providing a large variety of restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, a cinema and a bowling alley. A large supermarket, banking and postal services are all within easy walking distance. EC’s Beach Club is a 5 minute walk along the coast.
MALTA VALLEY VIEW: Valley View Apartments are located in the residential area of Swieqi - adjacent to St. Julians and a 15 minute walk away from EC Malta. Swieqi lies on the outskirts of Paceville, Malta’s main entertainment and nightlife centre. It is a very peaceful residential community. Here, one can find several small shops such as mini markets, stationers, grocers and a pharmacy
MALTA BUCKINGHAM: Buckingham Apartments are a two minute walk away from the heart of Malta’s entertainment capital, with restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, cinemas and a bowling alley all in the area. All local amenities such as supermarkets, banking, postal and bus services are just 2 minutes walk away. Also in walking distance are the EC Beach Club and the lovely sandy beach of St. Georges Bay. The apartments are situated just a five minute walk away from EC Malta in St. Julians.
MALTA MORONI: Moroni Apartments are located in Gzira, a few minutes away from the seafront and within walking distance of Sliema. Gzira is a residential area between Sliema and Msida on the western side of Marsamxett Harbour. It has a seafront promenade with views over Manoel Island to Valletta. In the area students will also find a supermarket, various small shops for groceries, several cafés and bars. Moroni Apartments are a 25 minute bus ride away from the school.

The sea, restaurants, wine bars, pubs, night-clubs, casinos, supermarkets, a cinema, bowling alley and shopping centre are all within 5 minutes walk. You can also enjoy swimming at the sandy beach of St. George’s Bay, 500 metres away.
